Limited Supply of Quarters and Halves for 2014: first come, first served basis.
Ordering Information:
We accept orders by e-mail, phone, or you can order online at Superior Seasons Food Market. You can order your beef by the side of beef (1/2 cow), or half-side (1/4 cow mix of front and hind cuts). We will have beef ready on October 10th and October 17th on a first come, first served basis. You can pick up your beef (cut, wrapped and frozen) at Thunder Bay Meat Processing in Murillo, or we can deliver it to you.
A Side of Beef (1/2 Cow) is $5.80 lb and has a hanging weight of approximately 250-300lbs. This amount of tasty grass-fed beef would feed a family of four or larger (who eat beef a few times per week), for approximately one year. A side of beef would cost approximately $1450-$1740 (all weights and prices are approximate-we don't know the final weights until they are processed). A side of beef is just as it sounds, half a cow. You'll receive a mix of cuts from the front and hind-end including: several kinds of steaks, ground and stewing beef, roasts and if you choose, less common cuts, such as short-ribs and shanks. You can also request extras such as soup bones and liver, if that's your thing! A side of beef would take up approximately a half of a typical chest freezer, or four 2ft. x 1ft. x 1ft. boxes (about the size of a case of beer), which would go perfectly with a BBQ'd steak by the way!
A Half-Side of Beef (1/4 cow, mix of front and hind cuts) is $6.00 lb and has hanging weight of approximately 125-150lbs. This amount of our exceptional grass-fed beef would feed a couple or small family for about one year. A quarter would cost approximately $ (all weights and prices are approximate, we won't know the actual weight until they are processed). When you order a quarter of beef, we try and match your order with someone who has a similar cutting order. This way, you receive a mix of cuts from the front and hind end, rather than one person getting the hip (where many of the "best" cuts come from) and the other person getting ripped off and receiving only shoulder cuts! If you are creative and organized, you could fit a quarter of beef in a typical fridge freezer, but it's best to have a chest freezer and a quarter of beef would consist of approximately two 2ft.x1ft.x1ft. boxes (think liquor store boxes). You can also take the meat out of the boxes to organize it, but it's best not to jostle it too much, you want to maintain the integrity of the wrapping.
100% Grass-Fed Ground Beef, makes your Bolognese better, burgers beefier and what's in your meatloaf is no longer a mystery! Available at the beginning of August for $9.00/lb. in amounts up to 100lb.
Tasty Grass-Fed Fed Burgers, the ultimate in convenience, throw them on the BBQ frozen and dinner is ready in 12 minutes! And, you have the comfort of knowing where you "fast food" comes from. Available in two sizes: 42-4oz. burgers for $65.00 or 36-6oz. burgers for $80.00. I recommend the 4oz. for kids, but the 6oz. patties for anyone else, these babies don't shrivel up after cooking and are big enough to satisfy your burger cravings!

Whole Dressed Rabbit will be available in September 2014 at $9.00/lb.
